Oh, the party...was awesome.

You wanted to know about the party...

Have some pictures.

The only thing big enough to hold all of the beer...was the bathtub. Beers from Around the World, indeed.

Surprise! And this was before she saw the bathtub...

Jazz's birthday meant a skull cake. And there were candles that looked suspiciously like joints. I'm pleased to say there was NO illegal activity at this party, though. Everyone was legal and no illegal recreational controlled substances to speak of.

It started out just us girls wearing crowns (mine was fabulous, by the way), but you know it's a good party when EVERYBODY winds up with a crown.

Even Padawan wore a crown after several imported beers and an order from the birthday girl.

This was a special picture: Alamo Drafthouse Gang! (You remember my thoughts on the Drafthouse, right? The only right way to see a movie!)
I did my very best, I'll have you know, to avoid the cameras. And I know there were a few cameras that caught pictures of me slinking away. But MY camera didn't get turned on me. These pictures are all from my perspective. (And just so you guys know, I did try the blueberry beer...but I didn't like it. I drank Mike's Hard Pink Lemonade.)

  1. Fruit doesn't go with beer...ever. Nice pictures, btw.

  2. Everybody liked it but me. But we all knew I wouldn't like it...I still don't like beer. It SMELLED nice, though.

  3. Looks like fun. Padawan looks oh so adorable in his sparkly crown. :)

Love the pictures! And I'm totally jealous of Jazz's amazing hair! The color, the curls...yep. I'm very jealous.

  4. I'll be sure to tell Padawan you said so.

*sigh* I envy the shiny part, too. I mean, I couldn't rock the color, but she really doesn't have to do anything to her hair. Take a shower...put in a bit of anti frizz serum...bam. Instant style. Life is unfair sometimes.

  5. Surprises? Sparkly tiaras? A b-b-bathtub full of beers?!?

THIS IS THE GREATEST PARTY EVER.

  6. Imagine how many beers my bathtub could hold...it's twice the size of that one! Most awesome, indeed. Everyone got really excited about the bathtub. Except me, because I really don't like beer. But even I thought it was pretty awesome.

  7. Yeah, I'm not too big on beer either, but even I might have had to try one if I saw an entire bathtub filled with imported beer. Of course, then I'd regret it the minute I started drinking the beer. Ugghhh, it's like someone turned a loaf of bread into a drink.

  8. No illegal activity? I thought you said it was a fun party? :P

  9. It's nice to put a face to Padawan. Don't think I have ever seen him before. Thought at first he might be the guy in the pic right above. With the dark hair and glasses and that "I only shave every three days" look that seems so popular. Too bad you are so camera shy. But then so am I, so I have no reason to complain. As far as I know, there are no pictures of me anywhere on the internet. I plan on keeping it that way. If I ever publish a book, the authors picture will be that steel rhinoceros.

  10. Bryan, yes there is a distinct after taste of breadness that is unpleasant. Also, beer itself tastes bad. Just...nothing can change it. Glad I'm not the only anti-beer person out here.

Doug, you can have fun without breaking the law. I promise.

Rev, ick! No, I like my men clean cute. No scruffy stuff. And did you mean the first picture of guys in crowns? The blond or the darked haired one? Cause those are my coworkers.

  11. My guess was the dark haired guy. He has that "professional computer geek" look to him.

  12. Blueberry beer? Um, yeah, it just doesn't sound good, does it? :/

Okay, LOVED the pictures! It looked like y'all had tons of fun! The crowns were a cute idea, too! Padawan is adorable! And he wore a crown! Good sport!!!

  13. Rev, yeah that's Wood Winded. He plays all of the wood wind instruments and is a private lessons instructor. He's not computer savvy at all, but he's cool to work with. Definitely not Padawan, though.

Frisky, everybody else loved it! Said it was the most awesome beer ever. Yeah, lots and lots of fun. Everybody is talking about doing it again. But we have to think of a reason.

  15. Also when the special edition light sabers come out, but I didn't get pictures of that.

  16. Either way I think you got the prettier of the two. But then both of them still look like Younglings to me.

  17. He is pretty, isn't he? Don't worry. He's used to being called pretty.

  18. I'm glad I didn't hurt his feelings, then. Some guys really don't like that kind of comment, especially from other guys.

  19. He's just used to it. We went to Lowe's once to get some things for soundproofing and when we asked to be pointed in the right direction for the foam the man said, "Well, look at you! You're not just a pretty boy. You can do things!"

Didn't know what to say to that...

  20. I'm glad I wasn't that patronizing about it. But if I ever do get the chance to actually meet him I may have to yank his chain just a little. It's just my way.

  21. Hi! How are you? I'm Andy, from Argentina.
I loved your bathtub with beers picture and I think is perfect for my project (a design book which is going to be released in few months. It's about re-invented or re-used stuff). Can you upload it in www.proyectore.net?
    Thanks in advance!

  22. ¡Thanks a lot, Chanel! I'll keep you updated about the book release.
    A big hug from Argentina.
